The "Badri Academy Education and Development Academy" - the educational arm of the Nama Foundation for the Advancement of Women - organized a series of virtual introductory sessions in addition to two virtual camps on the basics of entrepreneurship held over a period of four months, during which it targeted university students in the Emirate of Sharjah, in cooperation With the "Irthi" Council for Contemporary Crafts of the "Nama" Foundation.
The sessions targeted students of Sharjah universities and educational institutions, with the participation of 20 students and teaching staff from the University of Sharjah, 26 from the American University of Sharjah, 85 from the Higher Colleges of Technology in Sharjah, and 67 from the Academy of Police Sciences in Sharjah, while the two camps targeted University of Sharjah students.
Dr. Mona Al Ali, Director of the Badri Academy for Knowledge and Capacity Building, stated that these events come within the framework of the efforts of the Badri Academy to achieve its strategic goal aimed at promoting the right to education and knowledge for all by making use of technology, as it embodies the Academy’s efforts to invest in young generations and enhance their skills and knowledge necessary. To keep pace with the rapid changes and face global challenges.
The two virtual camps, which lasted for three days each, focused on introducing entrepreneurship, its types and importance, and the areas currently required in this sector, in addition to teaching students personal and entrepreneurial skills and steps to develop the idea of a pilot project. The first camp came within the Academy's "Steps for Ambition and Empowerment" initiative, while the The second camp is part of the “Open Invitation to Clay Arts” initiative, in cooperation with the Irthi Council for Contemporary Crafts and the College of Fine Arts and Design at the University of Sharjah.
